The governing body of all sanctioned youth soccer in Arizona. this is a local division of US Youth Soccer.

US Youth Soccer is the largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body for soccer in the United States. US Youth Soccer is a nationwide body of over 600,000 volunteers and administrators, and over 300,000 dedicated coaches, most of who also are volunteers. US Youth Soccer registers over 3,000,000 youth players between the ages of five and nineteen. US Youth Soccer is made up of 55 member State Associations; one in each state, and two in California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

The Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer Club started in 1999 when 20 recreational teams left the Ahwatukee YMCA to form what would become the Valley’s largest parent-run club.This soccer club based in the Ahwatukee area has teams for boys and girls from the age of 7 to 17.

The goal of the Ahwatukee Foothills Soccer Club is to improve competitiveness, to retain coaches and players, and to provide a better long-term product, the club will continue its evolution in 2008 by becoming a more centralized club with more guidance from its professional coaches and trainers.

The Arizona Sting Futbol Club is currently an all girls club based in Tempe, AZ. Born from the vision of Founder and Director of Coaching, Kim Byrnes, the Club offers all aspects of training currently dedicated specifically to female soccer players: soccer curriculum and teaching methodology, on field physio training (from abdominal work to strength and agility to fitness) special lectures on nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation (with an emphasis on ACL prevention) mental skills training, leadership programs and many others. The Club will provide all players with the opportunity to develop as soccer players and young women through challenge, competition and knowledge. The Club will guide them through the preparation process for recruiting to play in college, the application process and, finally, prepare them for life beyond soccer.

The Desert Foothills Soccer Club (DFSC) is one of the largest clubs in Arizona with over 1300 players participating in recreational, developmental and competitive soccer. We are planning for over 80 teams in our in-house program, as well as, 30 developmental and competitive teams in our Desert Elite Program for the 2008-2009 season. Our developmental program begins with our youngest soccer enthusiasts at U7. Many players in the DFSC Desert Elite Program come through the ranks of our recreational program which begins with our U4 Soccer Tots Academy. In addition, our program has many players from around the valley who are interested in a full-service athletic organization, with a specialized coaching staff.

Desert Foothills Soccer Club is a non-profit 501c3organization dedicated to providing the best soccer instruction and character building experience for competitive and recreational youth soccer players ages 3-18.

We are not part of our town’s Parks and Recreation Department. Our coaches are also volunteers and may or may not have any soccer experience. North Valley Soccer Club (NVSC) offers competitive anddevelopmental youth soccer programs teaching the four components of the game (technique, tactics, physical, and psychological) and emphasizes pursuing victory with honor.

NVSC serves the north Phoenix / north Scottsdale area and differentiates itself by limiting roster size. Kids want to play, not watch. Roster size is not to exceed 15 when playing 11 per side (U11-U14) and 16 for U15 and above.

North Valley Soccer Club (NVSC) was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the soccer experience in Arizona one player at a time. San Tan Youth Soccer Association offers advanced and recreational programs for boys and girls ages 3 to 19.

The recreational program focuses on teaching fundamental ball skills in a fun, positive atmosphere. All players play a minimum of 50% of each game. Coaching is primarily performed by a volunteer parents. Professional trainers are available on a limited basis for recreational teams, at no additional cost.

San Tan’s advanced soccer program is entitled “Legacy”. Each age group, beginning with U7, typically has two teams — a Red team and a White team. Teams under the age of 10 are considered developmental (not competitive). The emphasis in the Legacy program is on individual skills development and team-building. Winning is important, but it is not the focus of play in the program. We are developing strong teams and soccer players. Players are introduced to a high level of play and coaching at a young age, training twice a week (under the age of 10) and three times a week (U11 thru U18) with a professional trainer.
