This is what it is like to be a Suns fan. It is something like being Charlie on Good Luck Chuck. Once you bang, ahem, beat the Suns, you are on your way to the prize.

So let me get this straight. We have no GM, no first-round draft pick, and now Stoudemire is unhappy. You might as well punch me in the gut, stomp on my foot, kick me in the crotch, and pee in my drink.

At the end of the day (isn't that everyone's favorite new phrase?), I want Amare back. I hope he is back. I also know that it is not a sure thing. However, I will only be accepting with a Stoudemire signing in another city if one of three things happen. Either the Suns pull off getting Nowitski, Carlos Boozer, or make a move to get Joe Johnson.

Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash slaps hands with teammates Amare Stoudemire and Grant Hill during Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Lakers in Phoenix
Over the years, I can classify most seasons in three ways. I have been completely satisfied by some seasons, I have been satisfied but disappointed by others seasons, and a few seasons have just left me disappointed. Examples, you ask? Here is how some of the seasons (for all my teams) turned out for me:

Stories of the NBA telling their referees how to officiate certain games, what players to call fouls against and what teams they wanted to win, are as old as David Stern's tenure as commissioner and usually reserved for conspiracy theorists. These "hardcore fans" ranted and raved in the '80s about a rigged draft lottery that landed the Knicks Patrick Ewing and complained in the '90s about the [...]

Steve Nash is Phoenix's darling, and with good reason. He's won 2 MVPs and has been at the controls of a team that had averaged 58 wins over the last four seasons, and twice advanced to the Western Conference Finals. This season obviously hasn't gone as smoothly for Nash or the Suns. Everyone is searching for someone to blame for the fact that the Phoenix Suns, a [...]

Shaq won't drink rat poison if he doesn't make the All-Star team. That according to a great quote from the Suns' center. On the possibility of not being named as an All-Star reserve tonight, Shaq said, "I'm not going to go home and drink rat poison." We're glad Shaq won't drink rat poison if he isn't named an All-Star reserve but it go us to thinking. Exactly how much poison would it take [...]
