The cycle of cause and effect.  Performing good deeds will result in good effects; performing bad deeds will result in bad effects.  The Suns have more than made up for any “bad” deeds we have done throughout our 40 year history; perhaps more so than any other team in the NBA.  For a team with traditionally good character guys, we sure have caught the raw end of the stick fairly consistently for 40 years.  I don’t need to remind Suns fans of this…but for the sake of blogging…click here for a reminder.  I apologize to add to your sadness.

Now, believing in Karma, I have no choice but to think that going through heartbreaking losses like last night are only preparing me for greater things in the future!  I refuse to believe otherwise.  Having Roger Mason hit a three with 1 second left and Danny Granger nailing a wide open three with .9 seconds left will only mean fantastic things in the future.  They’re good things, right?  I mean, I should be happy things like that are happening to the Suns and me.  Right??  To be honest, I’d rather get through these now than have them occur in the playoffs.  Plus, the Suns have traditionally been on the opposite side of things during the regular season (like the Spurs/Pacers this year) but have been pierced through the heart in the playoffs.

So, Suns fans, believe in Karma and believe that we are due for some of those missed opportunities to fall our way.  What is that quote from that Woody Allen movie…Match Point, I believe….

“There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net, and for a split second, it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck, it goes forward, and you win. Or maybe it doesn’t, and you lose. ”

Good news - the ball is overdue to bounce in our direction.

*Disclaimer: I should note that this “zen” like post and philosophy only came after I…well…here is a re-enactment….

What ‘goeth’ around, ‘cometh’ around indeed.

Thanks for your moment of “Ben zen” —loved the video clip.

How many times did YOU watch the replay of Granger’s buzzer-beater AND that look of utter shock on the faces of the Suns? Well……that’s about how I’m looking right now. It’s probably evident in my ‘empty’ comment here.

In the future, I’ll do my best to withhold comment, and step away from my keyboard, when I’m in a state of shock and don’t have my wits about me.

Thanks for your post, per usual, Ben.

OMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………….(extending zen moment)
