Cheerleading camp to be held in Anthem

The Let It Fly Cheerleading Camp is on tap for this summer at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem.

The camp will be offered to girls aged 8 to 14 in three different four-week sessions beginning May 1st. The camp session will include instruction on basic motion technique, tumbling, stunting, dance technique, cheers and chants.

The sessions are offered on the following dates:

May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd
June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st

Valley of the Sun National Cheerleading Championship to take place this weekend

Looking for something to do this Saturday? The Valley of the Sun National Cheerleading Championship is the perfect place to spend your day. The event will take place at the Dodge Theater in downtown Phoenix at 400 W. Washington at 9 a.m with the event culminating in the finals for the Worlds Divisions beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Tickets for the event will be available at the Dodge Theater box office is located on the east side of the venue. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors (ages 65 and older). Students grades 1st through 12th and children under 5 are free.

Parking at the event is $7-$12 (approx). Parking is provided and handled by officials of the City of Phoenix. The parking garage is located at the north east corner of 4th avenue and Washington.
