The Timberwolves had to have something positive to talk about after last night’s mauling at the hands of the Suns. Too bad Robin Lopez was the victim. And we mean victim (see below). Still, aside from being a foolish poster boy, Lopez had a good night (along with everyone else wearing a Suns uniform). Devin likes the bench with Barbosa’s scoring at its disposal, but agrees with Gentry that he’ll have to earn his way back into the rotation.
Were we too harsh on Lopez? Not harsh enough? And what’s your take on LB’s return? Let us know by e-mailing sevenminutesorless@fanster.com, and we’ll respond this Saturday.

We're back, finally, and it's the Jim Marshall episode!
Too bad this wasn't show 64 or 65, because we're talking a LOT of tournament. We'll break down each part of the bracket, and dip into the mailbag. Mark will give us a March Madness themed song of the week.
On this edition of the show, Greg admits he might be wrong about the Arizona Cardinals no longer being cheap, takes Phoenix sports fans to task for electing Billy Mayfair into the Arizona Hall of Fame over Cotton Fitzsimmons, tries to untangle the mess that is Ice Edge Holdings bid to buy the Phoenix Coyotes and unveils the “Phoenix’s Most Hated” Tournament bracket.
The show is fully interactive. Share your own thoughts in the comment section, take part in the rant or rave polls and compete for Oakland A’s Spring Training tickets by answering the “big question of the day” by voicemail, text or email.

The Big Question of the Day
Who is in your “Forsaken 4″ and who is your winner in the Phoenix’s Most Hated Tournament and why?
The best answer will be shared on Thursday’s edition of the Phoenix Sports Retorters.
Call or text the show at (602) 492-4FANS (4326) or email the guys at PSR@Fanster.com with your answer. The best response wins tickets to either a Arizona Rattlers or Arizona Diamondbacks game.
Tonight is a game the Suns should not lose, but Phoenix always seems to let those kind of games get more competitive than they should be. Barbosa’s back too (finally), and has the gall to demand a minimum amount of playing time after chickening out of the Lakers game.
Am I being too harsh saying it like that? Personally, if you ditch out on an important game and then demand time, there’s an issue. Send your thoughts on that and the Suns in general to sevenminutesorless@fanster.com, and we’ll address them this Saturday.

It’s a question we can seriously consider in the wake of Amare’s sustained tear: is he the best power foward in the league? Thanks to Keaton wondering this aloud, we ponder both the answer and the gravity of the question. Plus, we give thanks to Robin Lopez for doing a better job than Shaq bringing out the best in Amare.
That’s not to say we don’t understand if you disagree. If you do, by all means e-mail your own argument to sevenminutesorless@fanster.com, so we can answer it when we bust open the mailbag this Saturday.

A couple inconsolable Suns fans pick apart last night’s lost to the Lakers, breaking down the good (Amundson and Co.), bad (Lopez’s no-show) and ugly (crunch-time no-calls). Has Lou earned more playing time, and does Channing Frye’s versatility open the door for that to happen? Plus, we open the mailbag and address a S.M.O.L. critic.
E-mail your take on where the Suns go from here to sevenminutesorless@fanster.com, and we’ll read and respond on next Saturday’s 24-minute shot clock edition.

The Lakers are vulnerable, but they’re know it, and are intent on re-establishing themselves. Meanwhile the Suns are coming off five days’ rest, but still two rotation players short thanks to Frye’s suspension and Barbosa “not being ready.” Um…your team is fighting for playoff positioning and they don’t have Frye’s scoring off the bench against a division rival. Maybe you should…I don’t know…push through it?
Whether it’s celebrating a win or bemoaning a loss, we want to hear from Suns fans (or Laker haters) by getting your e-mails at sevenminutesorless@fanster.com. We’ll be opening the mailbag tomorrow to address them.

There’s no other way to put it…ASU soiled the bed in their first round Pac-10 Tournament loss to Stanford. Not only did co-host Travis Johnson take the loss hard, it made him physically sick. Travis joins Luke Lapinski and myself for the Friday edition of The Show To Be Named Later on Fanster.com.
Segment 1 (0:00) - ASU may have strangled its own chances for an NCAA Tournament bid with their worst performance of the season, a 70-61 loss to Stanford on Thursday. We break down the loss, ASU’s nearly invisible chances to make the big dance and then we take solace in the fact that U of A won’t be in the tournament for the first time in a quarter century.
Segment 2 (27:23) - The well-rested Phoenix Suns are back on the court tonight to host Kobe Bryant and the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers. We talk about the team, and then get into why it’s so hard to be a Suns fan these days.
Segment 3 (52:41) - LEFTOVERS! Here we discuss the Phoenix Coyotes, annoying Canucks’ fans, the potentially crippling news about Brandon Webb and the Diamondbacks, the Cardinals visiting with free agents, problems at Oregon with the football team, and who was the better Steve Prefontaine on the silver screen, Billy Crudup or Jared Leto? Seriously.
STBNL 3/12/10 - ASU’s depressing performance

It’s the episode number four, or as we like to call it, the Brett Favre edition of The Phoenix Sports Retorters because we could decide whether or not to actually do the show until the very last minute.
Your host Greg Esposito flies solo, once again, begging the question, “Will you change the damn name to the Sports Retorter already?”. It’s alright though, like Norm on Cheers, Greg likes it better without Vierra (Matt) around.
On this edition of the show, Greg shares a little pointless banter about Conan O’Brien and why American Idols Kara DioGuardi leans so close to Simon Cowell. One that dorky one minute of the show is over, he rants or raves about the idea that Darnell Dockett is the new face of the Arizona Cardinals franchise and and he asks the big question of the day; What players, coaches, teams and things do you hate most as a Phoenix sports fan? All that plus he takes a look at the listener mail from Tuesday’s show and welcomes in a surprise judge to rate his performance.

Matt and Devin debate about the Suns’ toughness, as well as what/who motivated Amare’s trend toward that area. Was Robin Lopez a better influence for Amare than Shaq? Find out who you agree with, and send in your own opinion to sevenminutesorless@fanster.com.
