Matthew Smith  won Week 1 of the Native New Yorker Battle of the Bone 4 Wing Eating contest at the Tempe Native New Yorker.  Matthew beat Nick Walker as he ate just under 2 and 1/2 pounds of Native New Yorker Wings.  The Valley’s premier wing eating competition runs every Wednesday from now through August at a different Native New Yorker in Arizona.  2011’s Grand prize is a 2011 Toyota Tundra and the runner up wins a pair of 2012 Arizona Diamondback season tickets.

To qualify for the finale at Talking Stick Resort August 20th,  just win a Native New Yorker location by eating the most “medium” Native New Yorker chicken wings in 10 minutes and 60 seconds.
