As first reported by The State Press, Arizona State University’s campus daily, ASU guard Ty Abbott was pulled over last last Tuesday in Tempe, and was arrested for driving with a suspended drivers license.

Last summer, Abbott had been cited for speeding, displaying suspended license plates and not having liability insurance, and in November, failed to show up for his court date stemming from those violations.

ASU head coach Herb Sendek said that he would speak to Abbott about the arrest, and that it would be “dealt with internally”.

Abbott spoke briefly about the incident on Tuesday at ASU’s weekly basketball press conference.
