You know him, you love him, and hopefully you’ve read him.

Ben York, who opines on Fanster.com’s Phoenix Suns blog, Deep Purple, as well as Slam Online, has been nominated as “Breakout NBA Blogger of 2009″ by the fine folks at Basketball Fiend. This is the blogosphere’s rendition of the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, so it’s a pretty big deal.

Ben is a diehard Suns fan who understands the game better than most, and maybe more importantly, he’s a hell of a nice guy.
