Pitchers Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy, both acquired in a three-way trade with the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees, met with the local media for the first time on Tuesday.
Jackson was a 2009 American League All-Star for the Detroit Tigers, and sported a 13-9 record with a respectable ERA of 3.62. Kennedy, once a prized prospect in the Yankees’ organization, had surgery last season for an aneurysm underneath his right armpit, but the Diamondbacks are confident that the right hander will be their 4th starter when the 2010 season gets underway in April.
