Report: Ice Edge to sign letter of intent to buy Coyotes

TSN’s Darren Dreger reported during the intermission of the game between Ottawa and Philadelphia that Ice Edge Holdings, LLC., a group of Canadian and American investors, is expected within the next few days to sign a letter of intent to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes, who are currently controlled by the NHL.

Dreger also reports that the future of the Coyotes will be one of the main discussions at the NHL’s Board of Governors meetings next week, and that a contingency plan will be devised in the event that an effort to keep the Coyotes in the Valley is not completed.
