Suns’ Al McCoy releases Biography “The Real McCoy”

cliffieI don’t know about you, but when I think of the , and Phoenix sports in general, I think of Al McCoy. For like minded fans today is an exciting day.

The Suns’ hall-of-fame broadcaster announced today the release of his biography “The Real McCoy”. The book tells the tale of McCoy’s journey from a town of 600 people in Iowa to being the play-by-play voice of the Phoenix Giants and through his long career with the Suns.

The book, written by Rich Wolfe, is available starting today at the US Airways Center team shop and at local bookstores and Valley Fry’s starting Friday.

In true Al McCoy fashion all proceeds from the book will go to support his hometown Williams, Iowa public library and Suns Charities.

If you are a Suns fan the book is a must read. McCoy shares never before heard stories about the Suns and provides and in depth behind the scenes look at the . It is a opportunity to see the greatest moments in Suns’ history through they eyes of a man who has been there for all of them.

Along with the release of the book, the Suns announced that McCoy will be signing copies of the book prior to the Friday, December 11th game against the Orlando Magic. The signing will take place in the Casino Arizona Pavilion at the US Airways Center from 6-7:30 PM.
