Amare Stoudemire has become the latest “victim” of the NBA’s Twitter policy.
The league fined Amare $7,500 for tweeting during last Wednesday’s Suns game versus Memphis. Stoudemire claims a friend sent the message through his twitter account and it was not him.
I don’t know whether STAT is telling the truth or not but if he did send the tweet that is impressive. He scored 28 points, 4 rebounds (all defensive), 3 blocks, 2 assists, 2 steals and possibly 1 tweet. That’s right, he had one more tweet than offensive rebound.
Only in the NBA could a person be fined $53 per letter. The question is, does the NBA require players like Amare to pay the fine via Twitpay?
