When the Phoenix Coyotes take the ice against the Calgary Flames at the Pengrowth Saddledome tonight, they’ll have two of their regular defensemen back in the fold.
Ed Jovanovski and Zbynek Michalek were activated off of Injured Reserve by the Coyotes today, and will be on the ice tonight in Alberta.

Jovanovski has missed the 8 games after suffering a lower body injury in a 3-1 win over Chicago on November 5th. The Coyotes are 3-4-1 in that time frame. Despite the injury, Jovanovski still ranks 2nd on the Coyotes with 13 points, and is second on the squad with 3 power play goals.
Michalek has missed the last nine games for the Coyotes. He has one goal and 4 assists in 15 games this season.
In another roster move, defenseman Shaun Heshka was sent back down to San Antonio of the AHL. In 8 games with the Coyotes this season, Heshka notched 2 assists and spent 4 minutes in the penalty box.
