Bring Raja Home!

The Golden State Warriors yesterday traded disgruntled forward Stephen Jackson to the Charlotte Bobcats for former Suns guard Raja Bell (Photo by Garrett Ellwood/NBAE/Getty Images).

Raja hasn’t been a member of the Suns since the J-Rich trade almost a year ago and there hasn’t been a day since I thought that the Suns could use Bell. I know, his defense may not be what it used to be, he may have lost a step or two but the Suns could still use him. I miss him.

Since probably Raja will not play much with the Warriors anyway (they have a dozen or so guard already on their roster) and he was traded mostly because they had enough with Jackson and has an expiring contract I’m sure a deal could be made to trade Raja back to Phoenix.

I know it probably won’t happen but I think this Suns team could really use him. Think about it. Bell knows the system, the Suns need a shooting guard that can play some defense, provide quality minutes and help them in the Playoffs. Plus, don’t you think it would make Steve Nash very happy ?

I’m about to start a “Bring Raja Home” campaign even if it could mean we’ll have to collect some money to help Mr. Sarver pay the luxury tax.
