Cabrera rocked in Reno debut

Share

renoacesNewly signed pitcher Daniel Cabrera made his Reno Aces debut last night against the Albuquerque Isotopes, and let’s just say it didn’t go well.

Cabrera allowed 4 hits and 6 runs while walking three in one inning of work in an 8-4 loss. Former ASU slugger Mitch Jones hit a grand slam off of Cabrera to highlight the inning.

Cabrera also uncorked a wild pitch during his 41-pitch inning.

Cabrera’s ERA after one outing is 54.00. Look at the bright side…it can only get better.

Eric Byrnes, on a rehab assignment from the Diamondbacks, went 1 for 4 with a double and is now hitting .333 during his time in Reno. Demoted outfielder Chris Young was also in the lineup for the Aces, and went 1 for 4 with a double as well. Young is hitting .381 since being sent to Triple-A on August 11th.
