Radim Vrbata is back with the Coyotes after spending 2008-09 with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Radim Vrbata, who was the Phoenix Coyotes’ 2nd leading scorer in 2007-08 with 56 points, is back with the team after being acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. The Lightning will receive left winger Todd Fedoruk and defenseman David Hale in the deal.
Vrbata was originally acquired by the Coyotes on August 11, 2007 when they picked him up in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks that sent Kevyn Adams to the Windy City. Vrbata then signed a free agent deal with Tampa Bay last July. He played in only 18 games with the Lightning, scoring 3 goals and notching 3 assists.
Fedoruk and Hale each spent just one year in Phoenix. Fedoruk played in 72 games in 2008-09, notching 6 goals, 7 assists and 72 penalty minutes. Hale had 3 goals, 6 assists and 36 penalty minutes in 48 contests last season.
