Mark Reynolds’ gargantuan home run off of Ubaldo Jimenez not only broke up a no-hitter, it tied the game 3-3. The Diamondbacks went on to win 4-3 over Colorado.

Mark Reynolds broke up Ubaldo Jimenez’s bid for a no-hitter with a towering 3-run homer in the 6th inning and Felipe Lopez knocked in Gerardo Parra with the go-ahead run in the 7th, leading the Arizona Diamondbacks to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

Jimenez had struck out 7 in running his string of scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks to 19 before Reynolds’ shot which magnified back-to-back walks by Alex Romero and Stephen Drew.

Dan Haren, who on Sunday was named to the National League All-Star team for this year’s Midsummer Classic in St. Louis, wasn’t his dominant self against the Rockies, but was good enough to earn his 8th win on the season. Haren allowed 7 hits and 3 runs over 6 innings, and was supported by his bullpen. Jon Rauch, Scott Schoeneweis, Tony Pena and Chad Qualls combined on 3 innings of scoreless relief.

The series win was only the Diamondback’s 6th of the season, and 2nd over Colorado. The Diamondbacks improved their record to 33-49 while Colorado fell to 42-39.

Arizona returns home to Chase Field for a 7-game homestand beginning Monday night against the San Diego Padres.
