In what has become an all-too-familiar storyline this season, the Arizona Diamondbacks failed to build any momentum from an impressive Tuesday win over the Cincinnati Reds, falling 1-0 on Wednesday night at Great American Ballpark.

The Diamondbacks managed only 2 hits, and were shut out for the 6th time this season. Lost in the loss was a solid effort from D-Backs’ starter Jon Garland, who allowed only 6 hits and 1 run in 6 innings of work. Garland lowered his road ERA to 2.47 on Wednesday, but his record fell to 4-8.

Today, the Diamondbacks send lefty Doug Davis (3-8, 3.28 ERA) to the mound in hopes of clinching the rubber game of this 3-game series. He’ll be faced by Cincinnati right-hander Aaron Harang (5-8, 3.95 ERA).

Davis, who has been the subject of recent trade rumors, is 6-3 lifetime vs. the Reds.

Here are the starting lineups for this morning’s matchup…
