The Arizona Diamondbacks, fresh off their 6-2 win over Cincinnati last night, look for a rare series win in game two of a three-game set with the Reds at Great American Ballpark.
Series wins have been hard to come by for the Snakes this season. Arizona has played 25 series so far this season, and has won only 5, while dropping 15 and splitting 5.
Jon Garland takes the mound tonight for the D-Backs. Garland has been disappointing this year, going 4-7 to this point. But he’s been a lot more effective away from Chase Field in 2009. Garland’s ERA at home is 7.51, but on the road is a sterling 2.60. He’ll be faced by Cincinnati ace Johnny Cueto, who is 7-4 with a 2.86 ERA.
