Raquel Aurilia knew she had something to prove when she decided to pursue a career as a recording artist. As the wife of major league baseball player Rich Aurilia, she understood that many people would look at this pursuit of happiness with a doubtful eye; that she was simply singing as a hobby to keep her busy while her husband played ball for seven months a year. She would quickly prove them wrong.

Aurilia knew she wanted to become a recording artist but didn’t know how to get started. When she did know however, was that record labels weren’t going to come calling her. So, instead of waiting years for a chance that may never come, she decided to make her own break.
