The latest edition of the wildly popular EA Sports Madden football franchise will feature an Arizona Cardinal for the first time.
Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will appear on the cover, along with Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu. The two players played against each other in Super Bowl XLIII, a game won by Pittsburgh, 27-23 February 1st in Tampa, Florida.
Not only does this mark the first time that a Cardinal will appear on the cover, but it’s also the first time more than one player will appear as the face of the game.
Fitzgerald becomes the 2nd athlete to grace both the cover of EA Sports NCAA Football and Madden. He appeared on the cover of the college version in 2005.
The game will hit the shelves on August 14th.
