The Colorado Rockies earn their first victory of the spring training as they perform in a high-scoring matchup against the San Diego Padres. Both teams combined scored a total of 24 runs with two home runs for Colorado and three for the Padres. Chad Huffman of the Pads would hit a grand slam home run in an attempt to give his team the edge. For the first time in 2009 Cactus League play, however, the Rockies reign victorious.
