Just when a Suns fan roots for the Spurs they manage to lose. The Trail Blazers took care of the Spurs behind Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. Roy scored 26 points. Aldridge matched him scoring 26 and adding 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Portland moves to 37-22 on the season, 5th in the West, 3 games ahead of the Suns.
Hornets 99, Nets 96:
David West comes up big for New Orleans as he scores 32 points and grabs 12 boards. Rasual Butler ads in 22 points and Chris Paul gets 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists as the Hornets sneak out a win against the New Jersey Nets.
The win moves the Hornets to 36-22, 6th in the west, 2 1/2 games up on the Suns.
Pacers 100, Nuggets 94:
The Nuggets let one slip away to the lowly Pacers despite 27 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals from Chauncey Billups and 20, 8 and 4 from Carmelo.
Denver let Jarrett Jack torch them for 28 points and 8 assists while Troy Murphy grabbed an impressive 18 rebounds and scored 22 points.
The loss drops the Nuggets to 39-21, 3rd in the west, 4 1/2 games ahead of the Suns.
Rockets 105, Timberwolves 94:
The Rockets took care of business on the road against the less than stellar Timberwolves. The rockets were led by Ron Artest and point guard Aaron Brooks. Artest scored 23 points and added 4 rebounds. Brooks, who recently gain mored playing time after the trade of Rafer Alston, scored 22 points and dropped 10 dimes. Not to be forgotten Yao Ming had 6 blocks, 11 rebounds and 17 points.
The win moves the Rockets to 38-22, 4th in the West, 3 1/2 games ahead of the Suns.
Mavericks 109, Raptors 98:
Dallas took care of business against Toronto. Dirk Nowitzki led the charge scoring 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had 5 assists. James Singleton had an impressive night scoring 12 points and had 16 rebounds, 8 of which were on the offensive end of the floor.
Jason Kidd recorded his 10,000 career assist in the win.
The Mavs up their record to 36-23, 8th in the West, 2 games ahead of the Suns.
Jazz 112, Warriors 104:
The Jazz, behind a big fourth quarter, beat the Warriors on the road. Derron Williams played the role of distributor as he tallied 20 assists helping Mehmet Okur score 23 points and Ronnie Brewer 21.
The win moves the Jazz to 37-23, 7th in the West, 2 1/2 games ahead of the Suns.
