The Giants and Brewers began the game scoreless through five innings of play. In the top of the sixth inning the Brewers scored two runs as short stop J.J. Hardy hit a two RBI double. The Giants would answer with three runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth as a result of a three run shot by left fielder John Bowker. The Giants go on to score two more runs in the bottom of the eighth to seal off their victory as they beat the visiting Brewers by a score of 5 to 2.
