Mickelson out at Accenture Match Play Championships in Marana

Another player with Valley ties, former ASU All-American, Phil Mickelson was ousted today at the World Golf Championship-Accenture Match Play Championships at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain.

Mickelson, the 2nd seed in the Ben Hogan bracket, was defeated by 6th-seeded Stewart Cink, 1 up.

(6) Paul Casey (ASU) def. (15) Peter Hanson, 4 and 2.
–Casey advances to the quarterfinals, where he’ll play the winner of the Sean-O’Hair-Ian Poulter match.
