D-backs put up only one run in loss the day after scoring 15

az_hardballYesterday the Arizona Diamondbacks erupted for 15 runs on 19 hits in a 15-9 win. Today they were held to only one run on eight hits in a 10-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Good news  for the Diamondbacks was newly acquired pitcher Jon Garland, facing his prior team pitched two solid innings and allowing only one run on one hit and one walk. The White Sox scored in seven of the nine innings with the biggest outburst coming in the fourth when they roughed up Jon Rauch for three runs on three hits and a walk.
