According to KTAR’s John Gambadoro the Diamondbacks have reached an agreement with veteran reliever Tom “Flash” Gordon to a one year deal (yes the same Tom gordon that was playing during the first Bush’s presidency). Terms of the agreement are believed to be $500,000 with incentives that could add up to $2.5 million if met.
Gordon appeared in 34 games for the Phillies in 2008 compiling a 5-4 record with a 5.16 ERA.
The Diamondbacks will be the 41-year-old reliever’s seventh team in his 20 year major league career.
Gordon has 154 saves over his career with a 3.94 ERA.
