[Ben's Note:  This is an emotional post and I know you're not supposed to write when you're angry, but I could care less at the moment.  I full expect to regret this (maybe) tomorrow morning.]

Here’s the quote that really set me off:

“Me being one of the leaders and an all star you can put it on me.  I am not one of the Captains. You can’t put too much blame on me. It’s not supposed to be my job to rally the troops.”

Translation: “I’m an A’l’l’ S’t’a’r’ and G’o’d’s gift to the w’o’r’l’d.  It’s N’a’s’h’s fault.  I’m a ‘l’e’a’d’e’r’, but don’t b’l’a’m’e me.  I’m t’r’i’p’l’e’ t’e’a’m’e’d’ when I r’e’b’o’u’n’d’.  Also when I play d’e’f’e’n’s’e’.  It’s someone else’s f’a’u’l’t’ for not l’e’t’t’i’n’g’ my d’e’f’e’n’s’e’ work.  I love T.I. and a’p’o’s’t’r’o’p’h’e’s.”

What an ass.  You’re not “supposed” to rally the troops?  It’s not your fault?  Aren’t you SUPPOSED to REBOUND?  Aren’t you SUPPOSED to play DEFENSE?  Oh, you were probably triple teamed when going for a rebound, my bad.

Nothing pisses me off more than someone who doesn’t take responsibility and/or own up to mistakes or playing bad.

Do you see Nash saying those things?  “Well, I got 18 assists and am a 2 time MVP, but I’m not to blame.”  Or Hill, “I am 36 years old and have more energy than anyone on my team, plus I have bionic ankles, so blame someone else.”  No. Freaking. Way.

Meanwhile, our true leader Steve Nash takes the blame, just like Grant Hill attempted to after the Warriors game. “I apologize to the fans - it’s killing me and it’s really killing the fans.”

Good riddance, Amare.  Thanks for not taking any r’e’s’p’o’n’s’i’b’i’l’i’t’y’.

I hope you go to a struggling team and some place where it’s cold.  Maybe Atlanta so you can focus on your rap label.  By the way, apostrophe’s suck.  And so do your “g’o’n’a’d’s”.
