    Suns/Blazers Deal in the Works?

    I’m hearing that a deal with the Portland Trailblazers could be extremely close.  The deal would send Amare (and perhaps another piece) to Portland for LaMarcus Aldridge and Raef LaFrentz’s expiring contract (plus a possible other piece).

    DallasBasketball.com has beat me to the write up, but I have reason to believe the Suns also have interest in adding Rudy Fernandez to the mix as well.  As we all know, Portland has a wealth of talented point guards, and we are still looking for a successor to Nash.

    Blazer’s Edge doesn’t think this will happen, but we know how friendly the Suns and Blazers have been in the past when it comes to trades…

    Remember, Rudy Fernandez was selected by the Suns only to be traded away along with James Jones, to Portland for cash.  Just so you know, that made me extremely mad, and Portland extremely happy.

    Anyway, I’m working on confirming if any of this is legit….stay tuned.
