“I’m the smartest player in the world”

I know what I’m doing, brother. I’m the smartest player in the world.”

Shaq has been one of the great interview in the history of American sports, but this has to go down as one  of the best quote ever in the love affair between Shaq and the media.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smithrecent interview found Shaq in a mood for love. He had love for everyone back in his Lakers days, so expect a Family reunion atmosphere at the All Star game in a couple of weeks.

Shaq will play next to “MVP” Kobe (for the first time on the same side) “I always did love Kobe,” O’Neal said. “It was all marketing.” Kobe and Shaq will finally have a chance to reunite the “greatest little-man, big-man 1-2 punch ever created in the history of the game“.

I guess the “Kobe couldn’t do without me” Rap is over and the “Tell me how my a… taste” is long forgotten. Oh no, it was just marketing.

Who’ll have a chance to coach them? None other than ”the greatest coach ever” Phil Jackson.

I still don’t think Shaq will lead the Suns to a Championship, and still hate the trade that killed the greatest show in the NBA (forever remembered as “the 0:7 seconds or less” team), but I must admit the guy is a genius.

Keep talking, Big Cactus !

Yours truly, Steve Fan
