You read that right. Edgerrin James, the on again, off again starting running back for the Arizona Cardinals, decided being in Super Bowl XLIII wasn’t enough attention.
James, while in Tampa, decided to buy himself a little Super Bowl present. That present a brand new white Lamborghini. The car has been parked outside of the team hotel and has garnered a lot of attention.
The original buzz was that James rented the car for the week but Edge put an end to those rumors. “Cash, straight out the door!” Edge told Darren Urban of AzCardinals.com.
If that weren’t classic enough Urban overheard James telling teammates “Hey, Urb wanted to know if I rented! I only rent tents and bouncehouses.”
If the rumors hold true James may add houses to that list as he is most likely on his way out of Arizona. A lamborghini is most certainly an interesting way to say goodbye and you have to wonder if he’ll ride that into the sunset after the game Sunday instead of a plane back to Phoenix.

good move, edge. you will continue earning money at the rate you currently do. your career is not about to come to an end, nor is the NFL going to see you out of football in less than 3 yrs. as a matter of fact, your next job will pay double what you make today.
