Phoenix Suns

Well, at least the Spurs, Hornets, and Lakers lost too.

First, let me just state how awesome it is to be a Suns fan, even after a loss.  For Suns Twitterers, we got to go to the Suns practice court and have a 1/2 hour Q&A session with GM Steve Kerr after the game.  Not many GM’s would do that, or do it as professionally, as Kerr - many kudos to the Suns creative team and front office.  We even got a special appearance by the Big Twitterer himself - Shaq - as he mingled with the fans for a bit.  Pretty cool.  Those who know me, know that after a loss, to basically avoid me.  But the Tweet-Up event cheered me up.

Not much I really want to say about last night’s game vs. the Timberwolves.  At the Suns Tweet-Up event after the game, Kerr reiterated that this game was one the staff had worried about for a while.  The team just got back from Denver at 4 in the morning and this was a T-Wolves team that had recently won 5 in a row = the makings of a trap game.

It was clear the energy just wasn’t there from the start.  There was a lot of mental mistakes on defense and rotations weren’t as crisp.  Though, Barnes had an amazing behind the head pass to Sweet Lou for a dunk - highlight of the night.  For the T-Wolves perspective on the game, click here.

Gotta forget this one and move on folks - big road trip coming up starting Sunday in Toronto.

On the bright side, the Spurs, Hornets, and Lakers all lost last night too.  In fact, the entire Southwest division in the West is on a losing streak and we are only a couple games behind 2nd in the West.

So, it’s not all doom and gloom despite losing two in a row.  Though Toronto and Boston the following night are certainly not going to be easy, the rest of the road trip concludes with very winnable games in New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Washington.

Cheer up!

And GO CARDINALS!
