Do you belong on the Arizona Cardinal bandwagon?

Share

With the Cardinals new found success, things seem to be getting a little crowded around here. With that in mind, we here at Fanster feel that fans should have to take the Arizona Cardinals Bandwagon Placement Test to determine just where they fit in, and how well they know their Arizona Cardinals. This test is designed to determine if you’re a long-suffering Cardinal fan who baked on the metal benches at Sun Devil Stadium, or a Johnny-come-lately doesn’t remember life before a state-of-the-art home field advantage. Either way, welcome! Enjoy, and maybe we’ll see you on the Bandwagon.

I’ve been cheering for the Cardinals since 1988 through three different cities including DC, unfortunately I was just kicked off the band wagon for having a terrible memory and only getting 7 out of 15 correct. I know it’s just a internet quiz but it still stung a bit to read that I failed as a Cardinals fan.

11 out of 15, Id say thats pretty good for a kid who didnt really start watching the NFL until about 5-6 years ago. Been a season ticket holder since the new stadium was built. Id say im not a bandwagoneer as I have watched every single game since then and have lived through the ups and downs(or misery “bears”)

Just to clarify…there’s nothing wrong with jumping on the bandwagon now. The more Cardinal fans, the better! This was designed more as a trip down memory lane for the long-suffering Cardinal fans of the Valley (and St. Louis for that matter!)

Enjoy the quiz, enjoy the game, and if you’re new to the bandwagon, welcome! Now tell your friends…

Those were some tough memories to find, let me tell ya.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t expect anyone to remember who the last game at SDS was. I surely don’t. I guessed the Seahawks, only because it was a divisional game.

I got 12 of 15, and I am die-hard since they moved in. I married a girl from the internet. I know what blind loyalty is all about. lol.

Funny thing, I still have the football team, and ditched the wife. She was worse than 21 years of 4-12, let me tell ya. :P

I forgot to make my point….

If you get any of those questions right without guessing you know some deep Cardinal facts.

I find it impossible to believe someone got all of them correct without guessing or googling.

13 -15. I did it fast. I have been a fan since 1964. I love Cardinal trivia. Did you know that the Cardinals had such a good offensive line during the Coryell years ( 1970’s) that every lineman was an all pro at one time in their career. Banks, Young, Dobler , Dierdorf and Roger Finnie when he was with the Jets. We beat Dallas 38-0 and 20-7 in the same season. Do You young guys know the Cardinals were also in the movie “Paper Lion” starring Alan Alda playing QB with the Lions. Oh yeah, Jamie Rivers was the first black middle Linebacker in the NFL. Jeff Severson was once married to actress Jenilee Harrison.

11 and I’m ashamed for my memory. I’ve been there for every single year since I was 12. Always the optimist, every year I found a reason to come back to rooting for my beloved team, even though I could never watch a home game, I always listened to them on KSLX (I think they were on there as I recall).

I am in South Jersey/Philly rockin my Cards Jerseys for this week. So far, no flack, at least nothing bad. I think Eagles fans know how bad we’ve had it.

Fav players of all time.
1. Eric Swann
2. Aeneas Williams
3. Pat Tillman
4. Larry Fitzgerald
5. Just about everyone else except Simeon Rice. Rice can burn in hell.

I guess that’s what Simeon gets for calling Arizona an armpit, huh?

Yow, that was hard. Barely passed. But the test ignored the franchise’s long history before it became a desert transplant. See how well you do on Cardinals history in the ultimate test of Cardinalhood at http://metsilverman.com/
(No registration, just answers needed and prizes awarded.) And go Cardinals! We’ve been waiting.

Got 14 out of 15, and it tells me “You are so good, you know what was painted on the field for opening day in 1988!”

I don’t remember!

Go Cardinals!

I am not even a fan and I was able to get 10 out of 15 right somehow.

Hope the Cards beat the Eagles Sunday and give the AFC hell in Tampa.

I scored 10 out of 15, and I bleed red and white. But some of these questions are illogical or not qualified enough. For instance, the “Cardinals first home opener” as a franchise happened sometime in the early 20th century, and not even the Houston Texans existed then.

One of the questions is out-and-out wrong. Something about which team did the Cardinals face in their first home opener, and it lists four teams. Not a single one of those teams EXISTED when the Cardinals played their first home opener. Perhaps when the *Arizona* or *Phoenix* Cardinals did, but that’s not what the question said. The *Cardinals* played their first home opener at Normal field in Chicago in 1898 when they were the team of the Morgan St. Athletic Club. I have no idea who they played, but I promise you, it wasn’t the Dallas Cowboys or any of the other choices presented!

Ok Kurt and krankor, the question has been fixed to be a little more clearly written. Sorry about that…if it makes you feel any better, add a point to your scores.

The quiz was designed to test people on their knowledge of the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals, so it was assumed that the question in doubt was being asked about their first home game in Phoenix. You know what happens when you assume, right?

Sorry for the mixup.

I got 8-15. Not bad for a lady who never watched an NFL game until the Cards came to AZ. However, it was hard to become a fan when every season was a losing one. I went to see the first home opener in Glendale and since then I have watched most of the games (except when we were getting blown out!) My sister and I went to the first playoff game and are going again tomorrow! We can’t wait! Oh, and since I am a native of AZ and have never rooted for any other NFL team, I may be a bandwagoner but a proud one at how far they’ve come. GO CARDINALS!

If you’re going to try to be funny by saying Wolf annoys you, you should probably at least spell his name right. Just a thought.

14 out of 15 but I give myself 2 extra points for sticking it out with the Cardinals for all these years. So I got 16 out of 15.
