According to a recent SI poll of NBA players, the Suns are overrated.  However, so are the Mavericks, Pistons, Celtics, and Rockets according to the poll.  Friend of Ben’s Suns Blog, Mike Fisher, has a great response to the “worthless” poll from a Mavericks point of view, but also defends the Suns, Pistons, Celts, and Rockets.

How could the Suns be overrated when no one has picked them to do anything this year?  How could a team be overrated when most “experts” have them vying for the 8th seed?   More importantly, how could the Suns even be considered as overrated during the past few years?  Playoffs, being in contention for a title, having MVP’s and all-stars lead them to extraordinary wins…Same goes to the Mavs, Rockets, Celts, and Pistons.

Celtics fans probably have the most to complain about.  Is this Celtics team overrated who dominated the entire league last year (and most of this year) to win a championship? 

Then, it came to me.  It’s a players poll.

They obviously didn’t understand the question.
