At least that is what Fox would have you believe.
According to ESPN.com’s Mike Sando, Fox will be sending it’s number one broadcast crew, Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver, to the Lone Star state for the 49ers-Cowboys game.
This makes perfect sense, seeing as the 49ers and Cowboys are in the lower half of the NFC and neither is playoff-bound. Why would you send your top broadcast crew to a game that you prevent NBC from having, that features the two of the top three teams in the NFC, two MVP candidates, and has the Giants returning to the stadium where their Super Bowl upset occurred?
Instead, Cardinals and Giants fans will be treated to the broadcast stylings of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa. Sure, Daryl Johnston is an ex-Cowboy that is tolerable to listen to (unlike Aikman), but Siragusa negates any positives of this broadcast team.
Guess the Cardinals still haven’t made it in the eyes of Fox. Hopefully Sunday’s game can change their mind.
