I know Amare had talked about the possibility of a 4-0 road trip with a quartet of winnable games against teams the Suns swept last year.

But realistically, with four games in five nights for this aging team and knowing Shaq would likely take at least one off, I think a 3-1 road trip is something the Suns would definitely feel happy about.

Of course, to make that a reality they need to take care of business in Milwaukee on a stop that will have a little extra meaning for head coach Terry Porter.

Just like the Bulls may have had a little extra juice for head coach Vinny Del Negro, a former Suns assistant GM, the Suns may be a bit amped to get a win for Porter, who coached the Bucks for two years.

Porter led a Milwuakee team expected to struggle in 2003-04 to a 41-41 record and the No. 6 seed in the East, where his team was dispatched 4-1 by the Pistons. That’s not too shabby when the considering those same Pistons defeated the Lakers and their four future Hall of Famers by the same 4-1 margin in the Finals that year.

Porter’s Bucks then slumped to a 30-52 mark the next season, which got him canned.

Porter will have the services of Shaquille O’Neal in this one after the Suns sat him out for rest Friday against the Bulls.

O’Neal will be needed to neutralize Bucks 7-footer Andrew Bogut, who averages 12.0 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
