Two weeks ago, we had our D-backs Insider Michael Schwartz, Associate Reporter for Dbacks.com, come on the show for the first time. This week, we recap everything that has happened in the last two weeks and discuss the D-backs amazing 6 game surge. Michael gives us the inside knowledge that we need and crave. Now let’s do this:
1) Since we last spoke, the Dbacks have been on a wild ride. Get swept out of San Diego, but then rebound and have take 5 straight. What gives?
2) Orlando Hudson is now done for the season with a thumb injury. Can the team make it offensively and defensively without him?
3) Bob Wickman signs with the D-backs, but can’t play in the post season. Is this good or bad?
4) Valverde was used in four straight games, and is clearly running out of gas? What’s the plan with him going forward?
5) Bob Melvin has his pitchers on a shorter leash heading into the postseason. Does this bode well for confidence or not? What is the 5th Starter situation?
