I sat here, and pretty much came to the conclusion that if there is any ASU sport worth discussing right now, it is ASU Women’s Basketball…so here it is:
The ASU women’s basketball team won its opening round game of the NCAA Tournament Saturday, defeating the University of California-Riverside, 57-50….
…With the win, ASU advances to the second round of the NCAA Tournament tonight at the Galen Center and will face six-seeded Louisville, who handled BYU, 80-54, Saturday.
The game will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be televised on ESPN2.
This team is good. This team is real good. Let me put it into perspective…They have only lost four games all season! Three of those losses…to #5 Stanford. If there was ever a team in Arizona that could win it all this season, ASU Women’s Basketball is it. The Arizona Wildcats men’s team rolled over like a trained dog on Friday and now…now…our only chance is now put on the #3 seeded and #9 ranked Sun Devils Women’s team.
Tonight they face off against #23 Louisville…It might be worth tuning in.
