    Jersey Issues

shopadidas.com At last night’s Suns game I noticed that a lot of Suns fans are still wearing their Shaquille O’Neal jerseys that they bought over the last two seasons. Of course, wearing old jerseys is not anything new. At the US Airways Center one is likeley to see a variety of jerseys from some noted retired Suns stars, such as Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle. The occasional Shawn Marion jersey is still spotted even though The Matrix is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks. ...

After Kanye West's outburst at the MTV Video Music Awards, many observers were left to wonder what kind of egomaniac someone has to be to try to become the center of attention in any situation. As a Suns fan I was all too familiar with the type of behavior West desplayed, because I had seen it first hand from former Sun Shaquille O'Neal. From the time he came [...] Read the story »

    Steroids Don’t Matter

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="426" caption="Courtesy UDEL.EDU"][/caption] I must begin by explaining that I consider myself to be a baseball traditionalist. I don't like the designated hitter, the American League, interleague play, the Wild Card, or the fact that the All Star game decides home field advantage in the World Series. After the Boston Red Sox won the 2004 World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks hired their young promising assistant G.M. Josh Byrnes to lead the team into the future. After all, Byrnes had learned from Theo Epstein, the man who had [...] Read the story »

Confessions of a Former NBA Fan

With the NBA playoff season in full swing and the Suns not participating, I have come to the realization that I no longer care one bit about the NBA other than the Suns. I have not watched one minute of the playoffs this year, and I haven't missed it at all. I'm sad to admit this, because at one time in my life I was an NBA [...] Read the story »
